Welcome to the Official Blog of Sportz Insomnia, the "chillest" sports forum on the net. SI has been around since early 2006 and has been strong ever since. Not many forums can say they were created nearly 3 years ago and still be active today. The thing about SI is you don't have to worry about joining and the forum dying three months later like almost all forums do. We have a solid core, from the admins, to the mods, to the members who make everything possible. Many people when they join say they like SI over other forums because it's like a family. You get to know every member from the site, whether it be talking sports in the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, Fighting, or any of the other forums, to talking to the members in SI's biggest hit, The Community Thread.

SI also has a variety of Sim Leagues. The NBA Sim League, probably SI's favorite, is in it's first season after it's restart. We started in 2003 to make it a little unique and allow it to last longer. The 1st season is almost over, so stay tuned for updates on that. We also have a MLB Sim League which just finished it's first season after restaring after going al the way to the 2012 season. Jarrod2323 and the Houston Astros won the 2008 World Series and look to be front-runners this season as we are currently in Free Agency Mode of the offseason. Signups are currently in progress for the 1st season of the NFL and NHL Sim, which will be followed by a fantasy draft. The NFL Sim, run by NFL Mogul 09, plans to start the draft within the next week, while the NHL Sim League, run by NHL Simmer 09, plans to start around November 16th. Claim your teams while they're hot!

Another thing SI takes pride in is it's graphics. Currently, the team consists of .dk92, Pac-Div, and Macken. There are plenty more great artists around the site, that just haven't had the time to commit to the team yet like Mexi, .snowy, Pugz, Grandy, etc. Another solid part of the graphics section is the cut crew which consists of PlayMaker7, Jarrod2323, elcheato, vikesfan and .bb4. The cut crew takes great pride of their cut gallery which is one of the best on the net. If you need cuts, this is the place to go.
